Santa Claus is coming to town Tuesday, December 20th at the old gymnasium by Rock Hills Elementary School. AND he’s bringing Santa’s Workshop and his elves, too.
Not only will children be able to visit Santa and tell him their wish list, they will also be able to do their Christmas shopping that evening. Children up through 5th grade will be able to purchase gifts for parents, grandparents and siblings for $0.25 per gift.
Children will visit Santa and then go with one of Santa’s elves to do their shopping. Dad and Mom are NOT allowed to shop with their kiddos. So, the children get to choose what they think their parents, grandparents and siblings would like for Christmas. It sure makes for a great surprise come Christmas morning!!!
In order to make this event possible, we are asking businesses and individuals for donations. We are accepting new and gently used items, as well as monetary donations and Christmas gift bags. We will use monetary donations to purchase gifts, as needed, and supplies (gift wrapping supplies, labels, etc).
Items which are donated can be for men, women or children of all ages – remember children can purchase gifts for Dad, Mom, grandparents and their siblings. When donating items try to think like a kid – what would catch their eye to give as a gift?
Donations may be dropped off at Central National Bank – Mankato Branch, Guaranty State Bank – Jewell, Esbon, Burr Oak Branches, State Exchange Bank, Mankato Lumber LLC or Paul R Wilson CPA LLC.
