Mankato Chamber of Commerce Senior Spotlight: Kaylee Hadle

The Mankato, KS Chamber of Commerce took on the Senior Spotlight project for the 2017-2018 school year in an effort to encourage students to consider returning to Jewell County in the future and to ask important questions about how they think our communities could be improved. For our community to grow in the future, we need to listen to what our young people have to say. Please enjoy this week's Senior Spotlight Interview with Kayle Hadle,

Q: If your had the power to change anything, what would it be?

A:I would like to see all the negative in our country change to positive. It would be nice to watch the news and be able to see positive things about what is going in the world. All the news is negative, there is so much hatred, discontent, conflict, protests, crime, blame, and drama. Why can’t we focus on the positive/good in each other? Because it would make for a happier and less stressful life for each of us.

Q: What is something that most people may not know about you?

A: Something people don’t know about me is that I spend a lot of my free time working to help put myself through college.

Q: In terms of businesses (Service, retail, etc.) what do you believe is missing in Mankato that would benefit the people of Jewell County?

A:One thing that I feel is missing in Jewell County a place to get coffee and breakfast food.

Q:Where do you see yourself in ten years?

A:In ten years, I see myself as a college graduate, successfully employed, happy, and proud of what I’ve achieved.

Q: What are some improvement you would like to see in Mankato in the future that would entice our youth to return?

A:I would like to see more job opportunities and more housing. I believe a year round recreation center with a pool and gym would be beneficial for the health and entertainment for the residents in Mankato.

Q: What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?

A:My favorite thing to do on a Saturday is work, finish my homework, and relax from a long week of school.

Thank you for reading and taking the time to get to know Kaylee Hadle! Keep your eye out for this great student and take the time to introduce yourself and encourage her to pursue a future in Jewell County!
