Mankato Chamber of Commerce Senior Spotlight: Jacob Spiegel

The Mankato, KS Chamber of Commerce took on the Senior Spotlight project for the 2017-2018 school year in an effort to encourage students to consider returning to Jewell County in the future and to ask important questions about how they think our communities could be improved. For our community to grow in the future, we need to listen to what our young people have to say. Please enjoy this week's Senior Spotlight Interview with Jacob Spiegel.

Q: If your had the power to change anything, what would it be?

A: I would encourage world peace.

Q: What is something that most people may not know about you?

A: I enjoy spending my time playing basketball.

Q: In terms of businesses (Service, retail, etc.) what do you believe is missing in Mankato that would benefit the people of Jewell County?

A: I believe if we had an actual truck stop for travelers our town would grow quicker.

Q:Where do you see yourself in ten years?

A: I see myself working in a department that is within my career choice.

Q: What are some improvement you would like to see in Mankato in the future that would entice our youth to return?

A:I would continue to work on modernizing our towns to encourage youth to come back to Jewell County.

Q: What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?

A: Getting to hang out with my family and/or friends.
