The Mankato, KS Chamber of Commerce took on the Senior Spotlight project for the 2017-2018 school year in an effort to encourage students to consider returning to Jewell County in the future and to ask important questions about how they think our communities could be improved. For our community to grow in the future, we need to listen to what our young people have to say. Please enjoy this week's Senior Spotlight Interview with Harlee Chance.
Q: If your had the power to change anything, what would it be?
A: I want to save lives.
Q: What is something that most people may not know about you?
A: Most people don't know how much I really care abour everyone.
Q: In terms of businesses (Service, retail, etc.) what do you believe is missing in Mankato that would benefit the people of Jewell County?
A: I feel like we need more businesses and more things to do in Mankato for all varieties of people.
Q:Where do you see yourself in ten years?
A: I see myself working as a nurse, most likely in Jewell or Mitchell county. I see myself taking care of others and changing lives for people.
Q: What are some improvement you would like to see in Mankato in the future that would entice our youth to return?
A: I would like to see more places to eat, more community things to get everyone involved, and definitely more businesses.
Q: What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?
A: I love working with my co-workers and I love going out and spending time with my boyfriend.
